A look back at the Warm Spaces and Peerie Daytrips Oot programme delivered with South Nesting Public Hall in 2022–23.
From the CDCN archive: During winter 2022–23, CDCN supported South Nesting Public Hall to secure £4,184 from Shetland Islands Council’s Winter Activities Fund and helped coordinate eleven Warm Spaces events.
The programme offered free transport, food, activities, workshops, talks and films. Approximately 80–100 people took part.
The same programme also supported free “Peerie Daytrips Oot” to Brae, Scalloway and Walls, combining transport, lunch and local visits. The activities helped people connect and enjoy affordable days out during the cost-of-living crisis.
