CDCN representatives visited the Scottish Parliament to share the community’s work and learn from wider community-led development.
In April 2025, CDCN representatives visited the Scottish Parliament. The visit was an opportunity to share the work being led by the Nesting community and to learn from conversations about community-led development across Scotland.
CDCN highlighted the community ownership and renovation of the Aald Skül, the Nesting Scrapstore, Growing Spaces Nesting and the Community Action Plan for Nesting, Girlsta and Wadbister. The visit helped strengthen links beyond Shetland and brought useful ideas back to support the next stages of local project delivery.
We were pleased to represent Nesting, Girlsta and Wadbister and to show what determined community action can achieve.
