DROP-IN EVENT – ‘THE FUTURE OF NESTING CHAPEL: PRESENTATION OF IDEAS’ (RESCHEDULED DATE)

SUNDAY 7TH MAY, 3PM – 6PM

Following postponement of this event in March, CDCN will now be hosting the drop-in ‘Presentation of Ideas’ event at the Nesting Methodist Chapel on Sunday 7th May from 3pm – 6pm.

This will present community ideas suggested for the building’s future during CDCN’s ‘Invitation for Ideas’ campaign last year – ideas considered beneficial to the community and which are seen as an alternative to the building potentially being sold to a private buyer.

Ideas identified include social housing, childcare, café/ community fridge, soft play centre, dentist, social location for retired people, workshop/ repair centre and others.

More recently, CDCN has received information from the Methodist Church on the revised professional valuation of the building.

This is therefore a great opportunity to view the ideas proposed from the community at the Chapel itself, and to discuss options as to how one or more of these ideas might be brought forward.

We would strongly encourage community members, groups and enterprises to drop along to the event to view these ideas and have a chat about them with a cup of tea or coffee.

The South Nesting Hall is also having a Sunday Teas between in the afternoon on the same day so why not drop along the Chapel before or after?
